About Mrs. McCarthy

My name is Gretchen McCarthy and I am so excited to be your teacher this year! 

This is my 7th year teaching kindergarten at the best school ever!

We are going to have a fantastic year together! 

 

 

I am from Lombard, IL a suburb of Chicago.

I graduated from Luther College in Decorah, Iowa with an elementary education degree in 2016.

I finished my Masters in Education in Learning and Technology from WGU in 2023.

 

 

I moved down to Tennessee about 8 years ago and just knew it was home. 

I got married Spring 2021 to my best friend! 

 

 

Last fall I had my first son! His name is Beckett.

 

 

We have two cats, Princess Leia and Pixie.
