2020 Science Expo Information

Students in grades 3-5 can enter one individual project in any of these categories:  Experiment, Engineering, or Technology. Completed projects should be at school on Jan. 29th. Please bring any prototypes, materials used, etc. that you might want to display in front of your display board.  The top 5 projects in each category will be selected by a panel of teachers and will meet with the judges on Jan. 30th. Projects will be judged on the quality of the "science". Conclusions should be written by the student explaining what they learned from the project.

Links to example packets are on the right of this page. This is just an example but will give you an idea of what we are looking for.

STEM Challenge Information:

Groups of 2-4 students will work together to complete a task. Groups must contain students from the same grade level but do not have to be in the same class. We encourage students to work with their friends! Please see the form to the right for specific information regarding each grade level's task. Students should bring all their materials with them on Jan. 30th. The prototype used for the challenge must be built at school during the allotted time. We will have hot glue guns and staff to assist students if they need it.
