"Flex Day" - An Asynchronous Learning Day

This is James Evans with Rutherford County Schools and we have an important announcement for you concerning an upcoming calendar date.



All students will have a distance-learning “Flex Day” on Friday, Feb. 5. This is an additional flex day that is being added to the second semester calendar.



This will be an asynchronous learning day, which means students will not have to login to view online lessons with their teachers at a scheduled time. Devices will not be required. Instead, students will receive assignments and activities from teachers on Feb. 4, and students will complete those assignments on their own from home.



The purpose of this day is for teachers to receive professional development. As a reminder, there is another Flex Day already scheduled for March 8.
