Speech-Language Pathology

Welcome to School !

My name is Andrea Terry and I am the Speech-Language Pathologist at Brown's Chapel Elementary.  At school, your child will know me as "Ms. Andrea".  I love working with children and helping them to communicate more effectively. While I am the expert for speech & language, you as parents are the expert on your child. Working together, we can best support your child for maximum communication.

Your child will be coming home with a homework folder.  Please check it weekly for ideas on how to stimulate language or specific sounds with your child at home. Feel free to write a note for me and send it back to me in your child's folder, if needed.  You may also contact me via Dojo or my e-mail address on the school website.

I have included resource links for speech & language. Enjoy exploring these with your child!

School-based SLP services & Private SLP services.
Speech-Language Pathologists have the same credentials in both settings...and many have experience in multiple settings.  The biggest difference comes down to COST and ELIGIBILITY.  I have included a couple of websites which explain this in more detail.
