📣 Important Run for the Buck$ Fundraiser Update! 🦌💰

We are excited to announce that shareable fundraising links are now available for our Run for the Buck$ fundraiser! Each grade level has its own individual link, making it easy for families to share with relatives, friends, coworkers, and supporters near and far.

✅ Important Reminder:
When making a donation, please make sure the donor unchecks the box labeled "Myself" and enters the student's first and last name in the box provided. This simple step ensures that the student receives credit for all donations earned through their shared link.

📱 Feel free to screenshot, save, and share the grade-level links and QR codes as much as you'd like! The links and QR codes are also included in our fundraiser documents. You can find those documents using the link below.

🎉 Thank you for your incredible support and enthusiasm. Every donation helps us reach our goals and makes a difference for our students. Let's continue the momentum and make this our best fundraiser ever! 🧡🤎

🎉 Run for the Buck$ Week 1 Update! 🎉

We are officially one week into our Run for the Buck$ fundraiser, and we are off to an amazing start!

First, we want to say thank you to everyone who has participated so far. Because of your generosity and hard work, our school has already raised more than $6,000 in just one week! What an incredible accomplishment! 👏

We would also like to congratulate our third-grade students for being the first grade level to have at least one student participate in every classroom. Since then, first, fourth, and fifth grades have also reached that milestone, with every classroom having at least one student participate. Great job!

Next, let's recognize our current participation leader. Congratulations to Mrs. Schuzer's class, which is leading the school with 13 students participating so far! Outstanding work!

Now it's time to announce our Golden Shoe Award Winners for Week 1!

👟 In grades 3-5, our Golden Shoe winner is Mrs. Batcheler's class, which has raised an outstanding $710 so far! Congratulations on a fantastic first week!

👟 In grades K-2, our Golden Shoe winner is Mrs. Stratton's class, which has raised an incredible $750! Way to go, Mrs. Stratton and students!

Let's give both of our Golden Shoe winners a huge round of applause! 👏👏

We are also excited to officially announce our Brown vs. Orange Team Captains!

🟤 Mrs. Penny is representing Team Brown!

🟠 Dr. Dodd is representing Team Orange!

At the end of Week 1, Team Orange had more participation than Team Brown, which means Dr. Dodd earned the chance to silly string Mrs. Penny! We hope the students enjoyed watching that during the Pep Rally today!

Now the competition continues as Team Brown and Team Orange battle it out to see which team can raise the most money. The race is still on, and every donation makes a difference!

Thank you again for helping make Run for the Buck$ such a success. Let's keep the momentum going and make Week 2 even bigger and better!

Go Bucks! 🦌💰🎉

For some extra fun, the entire school has been divided into Team Brown and Team Orange for a friendly competition! This week's challenge is all about participation. We are competing to see which team can have the most students donate at least $10 toward the fundraiser. The excitement doesn't stop there! At Friday's Pep Rally, we'll reveal whether Dr. Dodd and Mrs. Penny are on Team Brown or Team Orange. The administrator on the winning team will earn the chance to silly string the administrator on the losing team in front of the entire school! 🎉🎊

As of this morning, the teams were tied! I can't wait to see what happens by Friday!

As announced this summer, Rutherford County Schools has launched two new technology tools that will simplify how parents receive information and how they interact with their teachers and coaches to learn about their student’s academics, school announcements, and extra-curricular activities.

The first one is ParentVue by Synergy, and this will be used to see your student’s academic information, including report cards, daily grades, missing assignments, class schedules, etc. It is similar to Skyward that we used last year, but it is much more mobile and user friendly. The companion is called StudentVue and contain similar information for students.

The second app, and perhaps the most important, is MyRCS. Search for “Rutherford County Schools” in your app store, and download it for free.

The MyRCS app will be used by parents to receive messages and interact with your school, teachers, etc. This is the sole communication platform we are using for this type of communication this year. It replaces platforms such as ClassDojo, Remind, Band or any others as parents have asked for a one-stop source for school information.

Once downloaded, you can select which schools your children attend to receive a live feed of news items from those schools. By adjusting your preferences, written messages families receive are translated automatically into your preferred language. You can also interact directly teachers and coaches using a featured called “Rooms,” which is a secure two-way communication tool.

For your login, all you need to enter is the cell phone number you have on file with your school or your email address. You should then receive an access code, and you will be logged in.

For a quick overview of how the platform works, watch this short video introduction. If you have questions or need assistance, visit our Rooms Resources webpage. Links to download the apps are available here.

Rutherford County Schools is excited to offer these communication tools for parents and students. We want to ensure everyone stays informed about their students and schools. Thanks again for your patience and cooperation as we settle in to a new school year.

Thank you soooooo much for supporting our Smart Card Sale! We are so close to the finish line, and we truly appreciate everything you've done to help make this fundraiser a success.

The sale officially ends on Friday, and we're hoping for one final push to help us reach our goal!

So far, we have sold 448 Smart Cards. Last year, our school sold 522 cards, which means we're only 74 cards away from matching last year's total. We know we can get there with your help!

Currently, 134 students have participated in the fundraiser. With 780 students at BCE, imagine what we could accomplish if just 100 more students joined in. We would easily surpass last year's total!

If you're anything like us, sometimes things get pushed to the last minute. 😊 If you have been meaning to order a Smart Card or share the fundraiser with family, friends, neighbors, or coworkers, now is the perfect time. Every card sold helps support our students and school programs.

We would also like to give a huge shout-out to our First Grade families, who have had the highest participation over the last two days. Great job!

Current Classroom Leaders
Kindergarten: Mrs. Pulk - 19 cards sold
1st Grade: Mrs. Peterson - 12 cards sold
2nd Grade: Mrs. Dowell - 30 cards sold
3rd Grade: Mrs. Hooper - 35 cards sold
4th Grade: Mrs. Alexander - 20 cards sold
5th Grade: Mrs. Brooks - 112 cards sold

Remember, it isn't over until it's over! Several classrooms are right behind the current leaders, so there is still plenty of time for rankings to change before Friday.

Thank you again for your support, generosity, and commitment to helping BCE reach its fundraising goals. Together, we can finish strong!

Let's make these last few days count!
